The command line option
--rebuild-reference-database is used to locally repair the database of a SpiderOak One device. To run this command, first quit SpiderOak One if it is running. Don't just minimize the application, shut it down completely by clicking or right clicking on its icon in the notification area, then selecting Quit. Open a terminal or a command prompt window. Then enter the appropriate command at the prompt and press enter:
cmd /c "C:\Program Files\SpiderOakONE\SpiderOakONE.exe" --rebuild-reference-database --verbose
/Applications/SpiderOakONE.app/Contents/MacOS/SpiderOakONE --rebuild-reference-database --verbose
SpiderOakONE --rebuild-reference-database --verbose
This command may take a few minutes before it generates text, so do not close the program or reopen SpiderOak One before it has completed. Once finished, review the output. Errors reported in the middle of the output are expected; this is merely --rebuild-reference-database reporting on what it has found and fixed. Do confirm however that the command did not fail with an error at the end.
