Version 1 of Semaphor allowed users to sign up for an account using either an email address or a username not associated with an email. Version 2 of Semaphor removes support for usernames. One effect of this is that account owners with a username-based account will need to use version 1.8 when installing a new device. Semaphor 1.8 direct download links are listed below:

Once the new device has been successfully installed, Semaphor should be upgraded to our latest version in order to take full advantage of our latest improvements. You can obtain the latest version of Semaphor here.
A future version of Semaphor 2 will improve handling of this situation and avoid this problem.
