If the SpiderOak ONE application is not launching when you want it to, begin by confirming that you are have the latest version of SpiderOak ONE installed and are running it on a stable (not beta) version of macOS 10.8 Mountain Lion or later.
Try all of the usual methods to launch it:
- Click the SpiderOak ONE icon in the menu bar and select Show
- Double click SpiderOak ONE.app in the Applications folder
- Right click SpiderOak ONE.app in the Applications folder and select Open
- Type "SpiderOak ONE" in Spotlight and select it
If none of those methods launch SpiderOak, then open the Activity Monitor, which is located in your /Applications/Utilities folder. Confirm that there are no processes named SpiderOak running. If there are any, kill them and watch the Activity Monitor for a moment to confirm that they do not respawn. Then try again to launch SpiderOak ONE as described previously.
If SpiderOak still does not launch, do the following to gather diagnostic information that will help us troubleshoot the problem. In Launchpad, open Console. In the search field in the top right corner, enter "SpiderOak" without the quotes. Then press the Clear button. Also in Launchpad, open Terminal. Enter the following command, then press enter:
There will be output in Console. Select the Console window by clicking on it. Press Command-A to select all of the messages in Console, then Command-C to copy them to the clipboard.
