If the SpiderOak ONE application is not launching when you want it to, begin by confirming that you are have the latest version of SpiderOak ONE installed and are running it on a supported version of Linux.
Try all of the usual methods to launch it:
- Click the icon in the notification area. If you do not see the icon, recall that some desktop environments collapse or hide the notification area, so you may have to hunt for it. If you have no notification area, see Icon on Gnome.
- Select SpiderOak from the desktop environment's application menu.
If none of those methods launch it, then open your favorite process manager or use the terminal command
ps ax | grep -i SpiderOak to locate and kill any processes with SpiderOak in the name. Watch the process manager for a moment to confirm that you've killed them all and that they do not respawn. Then try again to launch ONE as described previously.
If ONE still doesn't open, try launching it from a terminal by entering the following command, then press enter:
