The command line interface (CLI) is a text mode that allows you to control SpiderOak ONE without using the graphical user interface (GUI). Common uses for it are when running on a so-called headless computer without a screen, and for scripting periodic commands.
To begin with the command line, first quit SpiderOak ONE if it is running. If the GUI is running, then any attempt to run the CLI will fail with an error message.
Next, open a command prompt window (Windows) or terminal (Mac or Linux), which is where you will be entering the commands. Where this is found depends upon your operating system.
Next, determine the path to the SpiderOak ONE executable. This too depends upon your operating system.
Next, learn about the available command line options. And with that you will be on your way.
