FINGERPRINT:
The Fingerprint is text that is generated based on your unique encryption keys. When users first log in to the desktop application, the fingerprint will be shown. Requiring end users to match their fingerprint to the one shown in your Manage tab verifies they are not caught in a man-in-the-middle attack. If the fingerprints do not match, users can simply exit out of the application and their password will not be sent. To utilize this feature, distribute the fingerprint text to your end-users via your preferred method prior to setting up user accounts.
AUTH CODES:
Auth codes function as temporary passwords that administrators can use to set up devices for end users or access user data through the desktop application. Select Manage Auth Codes under the Manage tab to create, manage, or disable codes.
To create a code, select the Create Code button. You will need to:
- Set the number of days until the code will expire by typing a number into the text box.
- Enable or disable No Devices Only? to determine whether the code can be used to access an account that already has a device set up.
- Enable or disable Single Use Only? to determine whether the code can be used more than once. If the box remains checked, the code can only be used one time.
Once you have made your selections, select Create Auth Code. The code will be generated and listed on the Auth Code page.
DISABLE AUTH CODE
Should you need to disable a code, you can do so by selecting the Disable Code in the Token column of the code you wish to disable. You can hide disabled codes by toggling on the Hide Disabled Codes button on the bottom left.
